We are very fortunate to have Jamie Andrules serve as our volunteer technology advisor. Jamie designed and developed our web site, and she also hosts and maintains it for us. Through Jamie's donations of her time and talents, we are able to use our web site to keep agencies, donors and clients informed of our important work.

Jamie has been working in the fine art, visual communications, advertising and multimedia trades since 1994. An advocate of social and cultural enrichment, Jamie has contributed her artistic talents to civically-engaging projects for nonprofits in both Colorado and Illinois, including The Joshua Station, the Pueblo Coalition for the Medically Underserved, The GroupMind Foundation and the Illinois Workforce Investment Board. Jamie serves as managing partner of Andrules+Fries Design, Inc., a communications agency founded in February 2001, and she is the recipient of several fine art and graphic design awards. She studied visual communications at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and at Northwestern University. Jamie is also the co-founder of Dreams Due Media Group, Inc., a publisher of children's books committed to creating valuable educational resources for foster and adoptive families. Jamie is the illustrator of several children's books being released this year, including the company's flagship book, Why Are You My Mother?

We are blessed to have such a skilled professional guiding us through the electronic age! Thanks Jamie!

Bonefish Grill
Charity Night

The Bonefish Grill recently opened a new restaurant in Littleton, CO. Reflecting the Bonefish philosophy of community connectivity, their Grand Opening events included the selection Helping Hearts & Hands (HHH) to benefit from an evening of fine dining on January 13, 2007. One hundred percent of the evening proceeds, including a Silent Auction, benefited HHH. Bonefish Grill Joint Venture Partner Roland Wayment, Littleton - along with partner Michael Sagrillo, Littleton - helped plan the event. A publicist was provided and plenty of pre-event advertising helped fill the house. They gave silent auction items ($2400 worth of food and services), as well as helped obtain silent auction items from other businesses. While introducing the community to some mighty fine cuisine, they also promoted HHH. The end result is a wonderful connection between the Littleton community, Bonefish Grill and HHH with commitments for long-term relationships. In total, over $11,000 was raised.

Foothills Chapel
Wine and Cheese Tasting

Reverend Chris and Karen Mohr are owners of Foothills Chapel in Golden. They work hard at giving back to the community.

For the last four years they have organized a wine and cheese tasting party to benefit Helping Hearts & Hands. They have lined up service clubs to help - this year the Denver West Kiwanis - and arrange for Foss Drugs to donate the wine. Chris shares his knowledge of wines and helps the crowd have a wonderful time. He also helps the Golden Kiwanis club raise money to help children.

Chris and Karen are active members of the community. They help raise funds for other metro-area charities, not only by hosting fundraisers, but also by rolling up their sleeves. Chris also leads a weekly religious service at the Federal Correctional Institution in Littleton.

Chris and Karen Mohr exemplify small business owners looking beyond their bottom line and working hard to make a difference in their community.

100% of donations made by individuals go to families in need.
Helping Hearts & Hands provides one-time assistance for individuals and families who have special needs that cannot be met through their own resources and threatens their self-sufficiency. We provide the community the opportunity and privilege to help people "who fall through the cracks" and cannot get help from anywhere else.
