What types of needs will Helping Hearts & Hands (HHH) fund?
HHH will fund many types of needs. Each case is considered individually. Some types of assistance provided in the past include payment of utilities, medical and dental expenses, rent, car repairs, transportation, etc.

How do I submit an application on behalf of a client?
Simply download the application form on this website. Then fax the application to (303) 339-6463 or e-mail it to helpingheartsandhands@jeffcoac.org.

How is funding dispersed?
HHH generally sends a check directly to the vendor (landlord, utility company, etc.) and always communicates with them beforehand, so they know their money is on its way. We do this so that neither the client nor agency needs to handle the check, lessening possible confusion and often getting the money to its destination more quickly. This is why we request vendor information on the application.

Why must an agency representative submit the application for individuals in need?
A single, qualified point of contact is helpful for everyone. It assures HHH that the individual has a legitimate need, the caseworker stays informed of all funding sources sought on behalf of their client and the individual in need of assistance has fewer people with which to work.

Why only one-time assistance?
Our purpose is to help people attain or maintain self-sufficiency rather than develop a dependence on our services. This also allows us to help as many people in need as possible.

If you have further questions, please call 720-407-6690, or Betty Proctor at 303-936-9043.

100% of donations made by individuals go to families in need.
Helping Hearts & Hands provides one-time assistance for individuals and families who have special needs that cannot be met through their own resources and threatens their self-sufficiency. We provide the community the opportunity and privilege to help people "who fall through the cracks" and cannot get help from anywhere else.
